About Author

GORDON LEIDNER has been a lifelong student of the American Civil War. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Abraham Lincoln Institute, and maintains the popular history website Through the Great American History website he has provided numerous articles and free educational material about the American Civil War, Abraham Lincoln, and the American Revolution since 1996. Leidner lives near Annapolis, Maryland with Jean, his wife of thirty-five years.

A box for a gift. Seriously!
I bought this book to use as the "box" for my son's REAL birthday present...Tickets to the play "Hamilton." It was PERFECT for that and a really nice addition to his bookcase!

    If you love American History, you will Love this
    A large portion of this book, I would say 2/3, is a history lesson with 1/3 application.
    If you love American history, you’ll like this.
    There are 24 quotes in this book by our Founding Fathers. 5 of the quotes are by Hamilton.
    I thought the tables would be turned with the majority of the quotes coming from Hamilton.
    All the images in this book are from historical paintings.
    If you loved the play, you might be more inclined to like this book.
