Kwame Alexander Books discovers, nurtures, and champions bold authors. Our vision is to publish purposeful, ambitious, and captivating books—picture books, poetry, and novels for both young people and adults—that invite readers into a language and storytelling that sparks imagination, promotes community, and shapes culture.

What We’re Building

Kwame Alexander Books will launch in spring 2027. The imprint will publish a curated list of titles across picture books, middle grade, young adult and adult categories, combining Alexander’s own projects with works from emerging and established authors. Beyond publishing, the imprint will serve as a platform for discovering and mentoring new voices, with additional initiatives and partnerships to be announced. We’re drawn to stories that are emotionally resonant, imaginative, and deeply connected to the lives of readers.
