Who can enter this contest?

• Adults 18+ must submit the videos, but the videos should feature the actual How to Catch fans (your students, your children, your nieces and nephews…whoever!).

How long should my video be?

• 30 to 60 seconds

What orientation should my video be?

• Vertical

What should I say in my video?

• The child/children in your video should show us how much they love the How to Catch series! Here are some thought starters:
  • What do you love about the How to Catch books?​
  • Who is your favorite book or character?​
  • How do you use the books at school or at home? ​
  • What’s something How to Catch taught you about being creative or working as a team?​
  • What’s something you learned about not giving up? Have you ever come up with a plan that didn’t work — and then came up with a better one, just like in the stories?​
  • How do the How to Catch books inspire your imagination?​
  • What’s a message or lesson you think the How to Catch books share?​
  • Feel free to show us your How to Catch collection or highlight any How to Catch projects you have made.

How will videos be judged?

• Eligible entries will be judged based on the following criteria: (i) Passion (ii) Creativity (iii) Emotional Impact and (iv) Connection to the How to Catch series.

Who do I need to tag in my video? Do I need to use any hashtags?

• Tag @HowtoCatchSeries and @SourcebooksKids
• Use hashtags #10YearsofHowtoCatch and #HowtoCatchContest

What if I don’t want to post my video online?

• If you don’t want to post your video on social media, you can submit it via this form: https://woobox.com/nkrcix

How do I find out if I won?

• Winners will be selected by the end of March, 2026. Winners who entered on Instagram will be notified via Direct Message. Winners who entered via the Woobox form will be notified via email.
