    product description

In her newest book for Simple Truths, Heart of a Mother, author Paula J. Fox celebrates all that makes mothers so special. Paula is no stranger to Simple Truths’ readers. Her poetry and quotes have brought joy to millions in Heart of a Teacher and Heart of a Caregiver.

This particular book came about when Simple Truths founder Mac Anderson was having lunch with Paula. She said, “For years at my church, and at other churches, people have asked me to speak on Mother’s Day. I always give the same talk and thousands of people have asked if they could have a copy.“

Mac then asked, “What do you talk about?”

She said the speech is called “Heart of a Mother…The Beauty of a Mother’s Love.” “However, what makes it unique is that I compare a mother’s love to thirty-one different flowers. After I talk about each flower, I reach down and place that flower in a vase. At the end, there is a beautiful bouquet of flowers… each symbolic of the love a mother has for her child. People love it!”

Any mother will enjoy the pairing of the beauty of a mother’s love with quotes inspired by the unique bond between mothers and children. A mother’s love is portrayed in a beautiful floral design that’s a feast for the eye as well as the soul. Each flower represents a different characteristic of mothers. For example, the gladiola is compared to mothers as follows:

It takes a lot of strength to be a mother, illustrated by the gladiola…a strong, powerful flower that is a favorite in large arrangements because of its size. The name gladiola comes from a Greek word meaning “sword,” reminding us that a mother is a powerful force for her children. She is their advocate, always on their side, and is willing to fight for them against all adversity.

        Heart of a Mother
I purchased this book as a Mother's Day present, however, I have read through the book and find it very enjoyable. I think I might purchase another copy for my sister.

              Heart of a Mother
I bought this for my Daughter-In-Laws Birthday. It is a special book one may not buy for themselves. It's beautiful in every way, and lets us tell her how very special we think she is and how thankful she is the Mother of our three Grandsons. I know she will enjoy reading it and relate much to her own Mother also. The DVD is a special added bonus! I'm thrilled with this purchase and she will love it for her October Birthday.
