Simple Truths – Shipping Policy

For specific shipping information please review our complete shipping policy below. If you need further assistance with shipping, including pricing or available options, please send an e-mail to Customer Care via our contact page and a Customer Care Ambassador will respond within 24 business hours. Or call us direct at 1 (800) 900-3427 Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm Central Standard Time.

To which locations do you ship?

For U.S. Domestic orders we ship within the United States to all 50 states including Alaska, Hawaii and all U.S. territories and protectorates including Puerto Rico and Guam.
For International orders including Canada we ship to all International locations that are accessible to U.P.S. with the exception of Nigeria.
What shipping options and delivery times are available?
We utilize U.P.S. as our preferred carrier to ship all U.S. and International orders as this provides insurance protection, complete tracking information and guaranteed delivery.

All of our products are shipped from our distribution center located in Naperville, Illinois in the United States. Delivery times depend on the shipping destination and shipping method. Please reference the U.S. Domestic and International sections below for more information.
Note: Not all options are available to all destinations.

For U.S. Domestic locations: U.P.S. guarantees your order will arrive as stated except when delays are due to unexpected weather or other circumstances or on orders shipped to some locations in Alaska and Hawaii. Note that for some options, shipments to a residential location can take longer to arrive than to a commercial address.
UPS Next Day Early A.M.:
  • Orders are guaranteed to arrive the next business day by 8 a.m. to most major cities within the 48 contiguous states and by 8:30 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. to other cities.
  • Service is available to limited addresses in Alaska, including Anchorage.
UPS Next Day Air:
  • Orders are guaranteed to arrive the next business day by 10:30 a.m., 12:00 noon or before the end of the business day depending on the destination.
  • Service is available to all 50 states and Puerto Rico, with some limitations in Alaska and Hawaii.
UPS Next Day Air Saver:
  • For commercial destinations, orders are guaranteed to arrive the next business day by 3:00 or 4:30 p.m. where UPS Next Day Air delivery is committed by 10:30 a.m. or 12:00 p.m., respectively.
  • For residential destinations, orders are guaranteed to arrive before the end of the following business day.

UPS 2nd Day Air Early A.M.:

  • Orders are guaranteed to arrive on the second business day by 10:30am and 12:00pm to most commercial destinations.
  • This option is only available for business locations within the 48 contiguous states and may not be available in all locations.

UPS 2nd Day Air:

  • Orders are guaranteed to arrive by the end of the second business day.
  • This option is available to all 50 states and Puerto Rico.
  • Some locations in Alaska and Hawaii require additional transit time.

UPS 3-Day Select:

  • Orders are guaranteed to arrive by the end of the 3rd business day.
  • This option is only available within the 48 contiguous states.

UPS Ground:

  • Orders should arrive within 2 - 5 business days depending on the destination as shown in the map below.
  • Orders typically arrive by 5pm for commercial addresses and by 7pm to most residential addresses. This option is available to all 50 states and Puerto Rico.

International delivery times vary based on several factors including the destination country, method of shipping and the time spent in customs. Delivery times do not include delays due to Customs procedures.

UPS Worldwide Saver (All International Orders):
Orders are guaranteed to arrive by 12:00 noon:

  • To Canada and Mexico on the next business day
  • To Europe and Latin America in 2 business days
  • To Asia in 3 business days
  • To other locations within 5 business days

UPS Worldwide Expedited (All International Orders):
Orders are guaranteed to arrive:

  • To Canada in 2 business days
  • To Mexico in 2 to 3 business days
  • To Europe in 3 to 4 days
  • To Asia and Latin America in 4 to 5 business days
  • To other locations within 5 business days

UPS Standard (Canadian Orders Only):
Delivery typically takes 2 - 7 business days to Canada after the order is shipped.
PLEASE NOTE: UPS Standard does not include charges for customs clearance. Customs brokerage charges, duties and taxes due are the sole responsibility of the customer. Refer to the Customs section below for further details.

What shipping options and delivery times are available?
Our goal is to process and ship all in-stock U.S. DOMESTIC orders received before 2:00 p.m. Central Standard Time on the same day they are received. If you request express delivery, your order must be received by 4:00 p.m. Central Standard Time for it to ship out that same business day.

Due to customs procedures and other processing required within our distribution center, INTERNATIONAL orders are usually processed and shipped within 48 hours from the day they are received including express orders.

We do not process shipments or deliver orders on U.S. holidays, Saturday and Sunday. Online express shipment requests created on a U.S. holiday, Saturday or Sunday will ship the following business day that we are open. Resellers should refer to their agreement for their specific shipping policy.

Once your order is successfully processed and if no item within your order is on backordered status, then your order will ship on time as stated above.

For orders that contain backordered items:

For Domestic orders that contain backordered items, we will partial ship the items we have in stock and ship at no additional cost the backordered items once we receive them in our distribution center. For International orders that contain backordered items, the order will not ship from our distribution center until we have all items in stock. This is to minimize the costs of multiple shipments to International locations and to avoid unnecessary additional delays in customs.
Do you ship to APO/FPO addresses?
Yes, we offer shipping to members of the United States Armed Forces and ship to APO/FPO addresses. APO/FPO orders are shipped First Class Priority mail via the United States Postal Service (U.S.P.S.). The specific shipping cost is based upon the specific postal code of the APO/FPO and size of the order. Shipments to an APO/FPO facility can take up to 7 business days dependent upon the distance from our distribution center. Note: orders shipped First Class Priority mail do not offer tracking options and are not guaranteed.
Instructions for completing an APO/FPO address:

The service member’s full name must be listed with the PSC number, unit number or ship name. Replace the state with the appropriate dropdown selection: Armed Forces America, Armed Forces Europe/Middle East/Canada or Armed Forces Pacific. Include the 5 digit APO/FPO postal code and 4 digit extension if available.

How much will my shipping costs be?
Overall shipping costs vary based on the shipping method selected, the destination location and the size and weight of the package(s) for the order. Please note that our shipping rates are real-time rates set by the respective carrier. Additional shipping and handling charges may be added for large orders.

You can determine your estimated shipping charges before completing the order section by simply selecting your products and then under the shopping cart, select “Please determine my shipping charges”. On our website, your shipping cost is also tallied when you go to the final order confirmation page.

For specific shipping costs beyond those available on our site, please contact Customer Care and we will be happy to assist you with shipping methods and pricing. Note: Should you refuse delivery of your order, you will still be responsible for any shipping fees incurred on your behalf.

Customs Information for International shipments
When ordering products from Simple Truths for delivery outside of the United States, delivery may be delayed by customs or import duties and local postal requirements. You also may be subject to customs and import duties and taxes which are levied once the package reaches the destination country. Any additional charges for customs clearance beyond what we initially charge must be paid by the customer; we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be.

Additionally, please note that when ordering from Simple Truths, you are considered the importer of record and must comply with all laws and regulations of the country in which you are receiving the products. Customs policies vary from country to country, so you should contact your local customs office for further information.

Your privacy is important to us and we know that you care about how information about your order is used and shared. We would like our international customers and customers dispatching products internationally to be aware that cross-border deliveries are subject to opening and inspection by customs authorities.

We may provide certain order, delivery and product information, such as titles, to our International carriers and such information may be communicated by the carriers to customs authorities in order to facilitate customs clearance and comply with local laws. If the order is a gift, the cost of the item is still stated on the customs form. Customs authorities require us to state the value of the gift item directly on the package.
Do you ship to P.O. Boxes?
No. At this time we do not ship to P.O. Boxes both in the U.S. and Internationally.
Can I ship items to multiple addresses on the same order?
Normally yes, however shipping and handling charges will apply to each different shipping address. On occasion, there are limitations with certain shipping promotions.
Do shipping policies change during U.S. holidays?
During U.S. holidays, please allow an extra 2 business days for your order to be processed and shipped from our distribution center.

For 2008, Simple Truths will observe and be closed on the following U.S. holidays:
  • New Years Day (January 1)
  • Memorial Day (May 26)
  • Independence Day (July 4)
  • Labor Day (September 1)
  • Thanksgiving (November 27 and 28)
  • Christmas (December 24, 25 and 26)
Additional important information
  • Orders are processed for shipment during normal Simple Truths distribution hours only (8am - 4pm, Monday - Friday, excluding U.S. Holidays, Saturday and Sunday).
  • The customer is responsible for all additional shipping costs that may occur from an incorrect address provided at the time of the order or if the shipment is refused by the customer and returned to Simple Truths.
  • If a package is returned to us without reason, we will contact you via email and/or telephone to resolve the issue in a timely fashion.
  • U.P.S. deliveries are NOT available to P.O. Boxes or APO/FPO addresses.
  • Simple Truths is not responsible for packages held and delays caused by Customs procedures.
  • Simple Truths does not pay for International duty taxes. If a shipment incurs any such charges the customer is responsible.
  • Simple Truths is not responsible for brokerage fees incurred on International shipments. These fees, whether charged by a private or Customs appointed broker, are the sole responsibility of the customer.
Shipping Definitions
Package Insured:
If the package is damaged or lost during shipment then the customer will not be liable. The merchandise will be re-shipped free of charge or the customer will be credited for the value of the goods pending investigation.

Package NOT Insured:
There are no insurance services offered for the carrier or method of shipment.

U.S.P.S. Delivery Confirmation:
Delivery confirmation information is available. The U.S.P.S. will have an initial scan and a delivery confirmation scan, but will not have a scan from every location during transit. Note: The U.S.P.S. does NOT offer Delivery Confirmation when shipping to APO/FPO military addresses.

U.P.S. Tracking Information:
U.P.S. will scan a package at each delivery point and with a tracking number provide detailed information about the shipments location up to and including delivery.

Business Day:
U.P.S. has a 5 day work week (Monday – Friday) and packages will only be delivered on these days. The U.S.P.S. has a 6 day work week (Monday - Saturday) and packages will only be delivered on these days.
