How Do I Know Which File Format to Download?

Open Ebook (.ePub) is the recommended choice for iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, most Sony Readers, and Kobo e-readers.

Mobipocket (.mobi) is the only choice for Kindle. You can download Mobipocket here.

Adobe Acrobat (.pdf) is the recommended choice for reading on your Macintosh, Windows PC, Windows Tablet, NOOK, and Android devices. You can download Adobe Reader here.

Our audiobooks are .mp3 files that download as a zip file.


How to Download Your Ebooks and Audiobooks

This quick, step-by-step guide is designed to help download our ebooks and audiobooks so that you can enjoy them quickly. If you continue to have problems please contact us so that we can assist you.

Download Instructions

Step 1: Go to www.simpletruths.com, and click the My Account link at the top right hand corner of the page and click Sign In.

Step 2: Login to the site using your email and password. If you are not a registered user, please follow the directions to register.

Step 3: Click on the My Account link at the top menu of the page.

Step 4: In the My Books page, you will see links to all the ebooks and audiobooks you have purchased. Click on the link for the ebook format or audiobook you want to download. The file should begin downloading as soon as you click the link.

Step 5: Once you have successfully downloaded the title, you will be able to upload it to your device.


Transferring Files to Your Device*

Once you have downloaded the ebook file or audiobook file from our website to your computer, use the following instructions to transfer the files to your reading device.

Barnes & Noble NOOK Devices

NOOK Tablet: You can connect your NOOK to a computer (using the NOOK Tablet microUSB cable) to transfer personal files. Your NOOK will appear on your computer as a removable drive. Just click on the file on your computer and copy it (drag-and-drop) to the appropriate NOOK folder. For additional support, please refer to Barnes & Noble’s Troubleshooting Directions.

NOOK Color: You can connect your NOOK Color to a computer (using the NOOK Color microUSB cable) to transfer personal files. Your NOOK Color will appear on your computer as a removable drive. Just click on the file on your computer and copy it (drag-and-drop) to the appropriate NOOK Color folder. For additional support, please refer to Barnes & Noble’s Troubleshooting Directions.

NOOK Simple Touch: You can connect your NOOK Simple Touch to a computer (using the NOOK Simple Touch microUSB cable) to transfer personal files. Your NOOK Simple Touch will appear on your computer as a removable drive. Just click on the file on your computer and copy it (drag-and-drop) to the appropriate NOOK Simple Touch folder. Amazon Devices

Kindle: Please download the PDF or Mobi formatted file to your computer. Transfer the device to your Kindle using the following Transferring Content Via USB instructions or using instructions on how to transfer either the PDF or ePub file.

Apple Devices

iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad: Please download the ePub formatted file to your computer, and transfer either the PDF or ePub file to your iPad, iPhone, or iPod Touch using the iTunes software. For additional support, please refer to Apple’s instructions for iTunes file sharing.

Android Devices

For Android based devices, please refer to the following instructions on how to transfer files to your device.

Kobo eReader

Files can be transferred from your computer to your Kobo device either using a drag and drop method or through transfer via an SD card. For additional support please refer to Kobo’s Help pages.

Using drag-and-drop

  1. Connect your e-reader to your computer using the USB cable.
  2. On your e-reader, select Manage Library.
  3. Press the center of the Navigation pad.
  4. Open Finder (on a Macintosh computer) or Explorer (on a Windows computer), and look for a KOBOeReader icon. This may be listed as a hard drive or as a removable storage device.
  5. In another Finder or Explorer window, locate the files you want to transfer.
  6. Drag these files to the KOBOeReader icon.
  7. You can now eject your e-reader and read your documents.

Using an SD card

  1. Insert the SD card with the PDF files on it into your e-reader’s SD card slot.
  2. Turn on your e-reader.
  3. Wait for your e-reader to process the content.
  4. Find the documents under Documents.
